Journalists from different countries shared their vivid stories and highly appreciated China’s contribution to developing countries during a forum on Sept. 29 in Beijing.
“China is transforming out of being the‘world’s factory’ into the ‘world’s investor,’ from ‘receiver’ to ‘creator,’ and from a ‘recipient’ in international political and economic affairs to a ‘participant.’ China is evolving from a big country into a great nation,” said Hujjatullah Zia, from Daily Outlook Afghanistan.

Hua Chunying, Director-General of Information Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained that the secret of China’s success lies in the adherence to the leadership of the CPC, and sticking to a path that suits China’s national conditions.
Hua added that the more developed China becomes, the more capable it will be to help other developing countries in achieving joint development, and safeguarding common interests.

Melisha Yafoi, a journalist from Papua New Guinea, echoed Hua's speech, saying a good number of Chinese doctors have traveled to PNG’s capital, Port Moresby to train PNG doctors and help patients with treatments, donations of facilities to assist patients and the medical practitioners.
Mustafa Elbou, a journalist from “from China to Mauritania” website, expressed his willingness to write a book about China’s great achievements during the past 70 years after his stay in China. “I have visited many provinces and many cities, and I need to write books to feel satisfied, and every place has its own story of achievement and commitment,” said Elbou, who has been staying in China for about one year.

Wu Hailong, President of China Public Diplomacy Association, welcomed journalists from developing countries to report a real China, and show a three-dimensional image of China. He also emphasized the importance of media in enhancing friendship and promoting mutual understanding between civilizations, which also showed the irreplaceable status of journalists in international relations and international communication.
The forum was hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association and All-China Journalists Association. Guests, including the Executive Secretary of All-China Journalists Association and 89 journalists from 72 countries, attended the forum.
