U.S.-NEW YORK-EXHIBITION-MOON-PHOTOGRAPHY

A visitor looks at daguerreotype records of the stages of the moon's transit across the sun during an eclipse at the media preview of the "Apollo's Muse: The Moon in the Age of Photography" exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the United States, July 1, 2019. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will present visual representations of the moon from the dawn of photography through the present in the exhibition. Lasting from July 3 to September 22, the show will feature more than 170 photographs together with a selection of related drawings, prints, paintings, films, astronomical instruments and cameras used by Apollo astronauts.
