Longtanhe River Grand Bridge extends 1,168 meters with its skyscraping piers zigzagging their way to the ridges of Longtan Valley, stretching over 800 meters.
It is a bridge of hope for rural areas in Hubei Province. The highest pier is 178 meters, the highest used in a continuous steel box girder bridge. It takes nearly two minutes by lift to get on to the bridge deck during construction.
