As the annual sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), also referred to as the “two sessions,” are just around the corner, People's Daily Online carried out a survey to find out which of the 18 hot issues of public concern are most important to our readers.
The top 10 topics they voted ranking from the first to the tenth are anti-corruption, rule of law, social security, education reform, healthcare China, Internet plus government service, income distribution, poverty alleviation, housing system and social governance.
The remaining eight topics include ecology and environmental protection, science and technology innovation, rural revitalization, institutional reform, strengthening and revitalizing the armed forces, high-quality development, cultural confidence, and major-country diplomacy.
The survey, which started on Feb. 12, had already attracted over 4.4 million online responses as of 5:00 pm on Feb. 28.
