Elderly-friendly center in Shanghai creates novel plans to cope with the aging population (2)

Changning has 205,000 people older than 60 years old, accounting for 35.5 percent of Changning’s total population.

Accommodation and nursing services for the elderly fall short of the booming demand, especially in dilapidated communities in central Shanghai.

The new facilities are set to benefit multiple aging communities through precisely-targeted care centers, including activity centers for groups and neighbor-mutual-help centers for families whose children live far away.
