By the end of 2017, China had a total of 30,200 human resources service organizations, employing 587,700 people, and the total industry was worth 1.44 trillion yuan, according to Sun. “On this basis, China will accelerate making the human resources service industry more professional, digital, international, and of larger industrial scale,” Sun said.

Specifically, Chongqing’s human resources service agencies have reached 1,425, achieving an output value of more than 260 billion yuan by the end of 2017, Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security data showed.

Zhou Ping, deputy Party chief and deputy director of the bureau, said that he believes this expo will further deepen regional talent exchange and inject new vitality into the development of Chongqing’s human resources service industry.

Nearly 100 human resources service institutes and thousands of human resources personnel attended this year’s expo, which was the second of its kind since last year. Many human resources experts from Fortune Global 500 companies also participated in the event, which includes more than 30 high-level lectures and seven panel discussions including one on post-doctorate students.
