A female university student from northern China’s Inner Mongolia appeared at the recent Paris Fashion Week in early October, during which Chinese people celebrated their National Day vacation days.
It’s exciting to participate in the fashion week in Paris as a student model, Wang Weiyan, a junior student at Inner Mongolia Arts University, told Hohhot Evening Newspaper on Oct. 3.

In addition to walking the runway for fashion brands, the 19-year-old girl brought a glimpse of new Mongolian clothes to the French streets as well.
It’s known that she was recommended by Zhang Wei, an ethnic costume promoter from Inner Mongolia, who has been aspiring to promote the colorful Mongolian clothes through international platforms.

Zhang said he brought the off-the-peg Mongolia dresses that integrate fashion elements from young designers and invited young models such as Wang Weiyan to present the designer clothing on streets so as to lure more young people to choose such ethnic clothes for daily use.
