Yunjin, also called Yun brocade, is traditional Chinese silk brocade made in Nanjing of Jiangsu. Dated from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it has formed its own characteristics through its development of 1,600 years. Yun brocade is famous for its exquisite craft, elegant patterns and smooth texture, and the making of the artwork requires cooperation of two weavers, who can produce only five centimeters a day. In 2009, Yun brocade was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. (Xinhua/Sui Xiankai)
