Hongkong Post has announced it will issue a set of themed stamps on Sept. 17, to welcome the official operation of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, Chinanews.com reported on Sept. 13.
The agency made the announcement on Thursday during a press conference, saying that the set will include four stamps that depict the charms and landmarks of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
When laid out in a row, the four stamps take the shape of a train, while in the middle there are two hands holding each other tightly, which symbolizes the exchange between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
The high-speed railway is scheduled to begin official operation on Sept. 23.
