
Hilda Malecela works at a studio of StarTimes Group in Beijing, capital of China, Aug. 14, 2018. Malecela comes from a rural family of Tanzania. She is a dubber of Chinese media company StarTimes. In 2016, she won a dubbing contest in Tanzania and got an opportunity to work at the headquarters of StarTimes. Malecela saw a movie of Jackie Chan in college and wanted to be engaged in film and television industry. After graduation, she became a dubber. The Swahili-dubbed Chinese television dramas in Tanzania provided a channel for Malecela to learn about Chinese culture. Besides dubbing, Malecela also learnt some skills about television in Beijing. "I have taught dubbing skills to my Tanzanian team," she said. Malecela hopes more and more African friends like Chinese culture. (Xinhua/Luo Xiaoguang)
