The 10th Sports Meeting of Guizhou concluded at Zunyi Olympic Sports Center on Aug. 18. This grand sports gathering has become a platform for the province’s “sports for all” program.
The event covered 31 competitions, ranging from Chinese chess, bridge, and Qigong that require greater concentration, to activities favored by young people such as roller skating and making model planes. There were also table tennis, badminton and mountain biking competitions, as well as a marathon.
Guizhou is pushing forward construction of 100 sports parks, 100 car camping bases and 100 sports itineraries to boost poverty alleviation through sports tourism.
