Photo shows special stamps featuring China’s 24 solar terms, to be issued by China Post on August 7, 2018. The special set consists of six 1.2 yuan (around $0.18) stamps, each of which displays a picture themed on one of the 24 solar terms.
In the Chinese lunar calendar, the 24 solar terms refer to 24 specific natural phenomena that indicate seasonal changes. They were established in ancient China’s Han dynasty (202-220 B.C) to guide agricultural production.
