Three China-made robot nurses AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle), set up for operation recently at a private hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, have aroused wide attention, Xinhuanet.com reported.
The AGVs, produced by a Shenzhen-based enterprise, can speak both Chinese and Thai language according to need.

An employee at the hospital explained that the AGVs are in the preliminary stage of use at present, and will be mainly used to transport bookkeeping files and other materials and supplies at the hospital to reduce manpower needs.
Apart from the hospital, AGVs also have been applied to transport goods during the Phase IV of procurement at the Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port, the world’s largest automated container terminal to help park vehicles and distribute goods.
