(People's Daily Online)    13:58, December 19, 2017

Reporter: Technological innovation is now becoming the core competency for the company. We know that NU SKIN is a global company which expertises in technological innovation, could you please share your experience with Chinese enterprises?

Mr. Dorny: We are dedicated to improving the lives of our customers with innovative products. NU SKIN has two innovation centers globally, one in America, and the other one is NU SKIN Greater China Innovation Park in Shanghai, which is the largest overseas investment project in the history of NU SKIN. By setting up an innovation center in China, we aim to leverage local innovation strengths to develop more products to serve Chinese customers. It can also help to connect with headquarters and take advantage of research and innovation. With our commitment to innovative ideas and advanced technologies, we have built a professional team with over one hundred scientists, and engage in international collaborations to develop innovative products.

Let me give you an example. To meet the needs of the anti-aging market, NU SKIN launched ageLOC technology with success. In line with trends of making products more intelligent, personalized and customized in this Internet Era, ageLOC Me, a tailor-made product based on big data, has been warmly welcomed by Chinese customers. The brand-new ageLOC LumiSpa product will launch in mainland China next month and will trigger a new wave of scientech intelligent products.

NU SKIN, keenly aware of changes in ways of life and consumption brought about by mobile technology in China, has implemented an O2O (“online to offline”) model of business in our daily operations, which promotes our company’s operational efficiency while bringing convenience to our Chinese costumers.

Reporter: As we know, NU SKIN has made a lot of efforts on Corporate Social Responsibility. Could you give us an introduction?

Mr. Dorny: Adhering to “Force For Good” as our corporate mission and charitable concept, NU SKIN has played an active role and initiated a number of charitable projects and events after launching China. NU SKIN’s employees and salesforce worldwide are actively involved and make their own contributions. Over a decade, NU SKIN Force for Good Foundation has funded hundreds of charitable projects and research programs around the world.

In 2002, NU SKIN launched Nourish The Children (NTC) to address the problem of child hunger in a sustainable manner and increase children’s chances of receiving an education. This initiative has enabled NU SKIN and its sales persons, customers and employees to purchase and donate more than 550 million meals to those suffering from malnutrition and famine around the world, including helping more than 560,000 needy children in 29 provinces of China.

In November 2008, NU SKIN China raised the NU SKIN Greater China Children’s Heart Fund in China with the Shanghai Charity Foundation, aiming to give timely treatment to needy children with congenital heart disease . Through the program, 6500 children with congenital heart disease have been treated (as of June 2017). Since 2013, 3 children with heart disease have been treated on average every day. NU SKIN signed a donation agreement with the China Youth Development Foundation. CNY 100 million will be donated to support a program for treating needy children with congenital heart disease. Almost 10,000 needy children with congenital heart disease are expected to benefit from the aid program, further driving the sustainable development of such charity programs.

Since NU SKIN launched in China in 2003, it has built 24 NU Schools and made nearly 24 thousands needy children's learning dreams come true. And in the future, we will continue to build schools for the children in rural areas. (As of December 2016)
