Nayunhongzhen Sets a Model for Fellow Villagers to Become Rich

In his youth, Mei Zhongsheng was fond of drinking tea. Living in Mount Kezhunike over a decade since 2001, he has rented 1,200 mu of land to grow tea and founded Menglian Nayunhongzhen Tea Industry Co., Ltd.

The company went into operation in 2003, becoming a new favorite of consumers in the tea market as well as an up-rising star among black tea products.

Picking tea leaves has become an important way for local villagers to acquire wealth. The company pays an average annual wage of more than RMB3 million to local villagers for picking tea leaves and coffee cherries, by which many villagers have become rich.
