The Grand Theatre, at the Changsha Meixihu International Culture and Art Centre, is believed to be the largest flower-shaped theater in the world. The 1800 seater auditorium is part of a complex of flower and petal shaped buildings which include a contemporary art museum and a smaller multi-purpose venue. Together they curve around one another to create a central plaza and a series of connecting lawns, terraces and pathways. The cultural complex was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. It opened to the public on August 31, 2017. [Photo: IC]
