

The Xima Lake, Meizi Lake, Yeya Lake, Xinfang Lake and Nahe Lake constitute Pu'er Five Lakes National Wetland Park. With a total planned area of 1,148 hectares, the lakes are distributed around Simao District.
According to the results of censuses and monitoring from 2011 to 2016, the park recorded 1,039 species of plants. There are currently 30 mammal species, 206 bird species, 15 amphibian species and 21 reptile species in and around the park. Many of them are key state-protected plants and animals.
