Nearly 100 people came together to lift a bus to rescue an 8-year-old boy trapped underneath in Ya’an, southwestern China’s Sichuan province, on July 26, the local TV station reported.
The boy Yuyu was knocked down at a zebra crossing by a bus while trying to cross the street with his mother on July 26. His right foot got stuck under the left front wheel of the bus.
Nearly 100 people came to the rescue, but failed to lift the 10-ton bus.
Yuyu was finally saved and sent to hospital as soon as local firefighters arrived and lifted the bus with special rescue tools.
Later on, the boy’s father expressed his gratitude to the kind-hearted public. Police said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
