China’s next-gen destroyer hits the water in Shanghai

China launched its first independently developed 10,000-ton destroyer on the morning of June 28. The Shanghai Shipyard held a grand ceremony.

The next generation destroyer symbolizes a leap forward made by the People’s Liberation Army in terms of the design, information integration, and assembly of large ships. The destroyer is equipped with the latest anti-aircraft, anti-missile, anti-ship, and anti-submarine weapons. After the launch, the destroyer’s equipment will be tested and debugged and a series of mooring tests will be performed.
