
The father He Yongdi (R) feeds chickens in Hexin Village, June 8, 2017. In Hexin Village of Liushui Township, Ankang City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, there's a 79-year-old father He Yongdi, who have been taking care of his disabled son for 21 years. The old man's son, He Xueyi, 43 years old, was paralyzed as a result of an accident at an iron mine in Hebei Province in 1996. Unfortunately in 2004, the old man's wife passed away because of accident. He Yongdi carries the home forward. He looks after his son wholeheatedly, and does the farm work diligently. In 2016, besides growing crops, He Yongdi fed 100 chickens and three pigs in virtue of the poverty alleviation efforts from the government. "Looking at the wrinkles in his face, my heart aches like being stabbed," He Xueyi said, "if there's next life, I want to be a father and love him back like he loves me."(Xinhua/Tao Ming)
