The 5th Pu’er Food Culture Tourism Festival took place on May 28 during the Dragon Boat Festival, making tourists feel the ecology of Pu’er as a “tea city”, experience the fun of health, and taste grass-roots food.
During the Dragon Boat Festival each year, Pu’er is perfumed with grass-roots, and every family cooks and eats grass-roots to cleanse bowel and discharge turbid. As a food culture evolved from a local folk custom, eating grass-roots has become a unique highlight of Pu’er during the festival.
