Mao Ruzhi is a Deputy Head on secondment of Zhutang Township, Lancang & Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er, Yunnan Province accredited by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). In 2015, CAE was paired with Lancang. Academician Zhu Youyong brought a professional team comprising more than 100 professors and doctors. Haozhiba villager group in Yunshan Village was designated as a technology-based poverty alleviation demonstration point.

With the help of the experts, winter potato yield value per mu has reached 9,000 yuan, achieving a breakthrough in winter agriculture. Haozhiba has also established the technology demonstration bases for winter early vegetable, Panax notoginseng, early-maturing grape planting and livestock & poultry breeding, and gradually shaken off poverty.
