On the occasion of Europe Day 2017, which to mark the founding of the European Union, the Delegation of the European Union to China held a garden party to celebrate the special day on May 9.
In Europe, the day is an annual celebration of peace and unity in Europe. There are two separate designations for Europe Day: May 5 for the Council of Europe and May 9 for the European Union.
Europe Day is one of a number of European events designed to foster unity among Europeans.
