Kunlun Red Star Woman National Team Exposure Camp

Background

The China National Youth Ice Hockey Team and HC Kunlun Red Star held a press conference of cooperation and joint development in the international hockey center of Little Wolf Club in Beijing on March 17th, 2017.

As planned by the joint development project, HC Kunlun Red Star Club will offer comprehensive, effective and scientific assistance to cultivate talents for the National Women’s Ice Hockey Team. In order to fill up the talent pool for 2022 Winter Olympics, it intends to introduce better ideas, professional team and establish an advanced system of talent development.

After signing the joint development agreement, Red Star Club will arrange the national youth teams to compete in high level ice hockey leagues based on their current performance. The idea to practice by competing in real matches is believed to completely change the national youth teams, which have been lacking of both competition experiences and opportunities.

What we do

We will build two teams.

Team red star Pro- Team of the best Chinese players in the world plus players representing Other countries In Europe, North America, and Russia .

Team red star China u18- Team of the best young talent in the country of china Representing the next generation to play for China in the 2022 Beijing olympic games.

Team Red star (Pro) will play in the CWHL 2017-2018

CWHL:The Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) is the highest women’s ice hockey league in Canada. The CWHL was founded in 2007. The league currently has five teams, competing from October till February . The CWHL is also hosting various hockey cultural promotional activities, the CWHL All-Star Game. The CWHL has the most top hockey players in the world who also have outstanding performance both in world championships and winter Olympic games.

Partnership with Providence College where the Jr KRS Team will be housed.

Play 40 League Regular Season and Tournament games

Who We Are

Margaret Degidio Murphy Head coach

Digit Murphy is one of the most successful players and coaches in women’s hockey, and over the last 3 decades has started three hockey/sports related businesses to further the growth and development of the sport. She is unsurpassed in her experience in the sport at all levels including most recently the most successful female coach in the only professional hockey league in the world renown expert on Title IX. She coached at Brown University from 1987-2011 and is in the Cornell Hall of Fame. Her passion to advance women’s sports is infectious and her energy and approach is a differentiator in the women’s sports paradigm. Digit Murphy coached the Boston Blades in the CWHL from 2012-2015 and won two Clarkson Cup Championships.

Rob Morgan Associate Head Coach

who earned multiple coach of the year honors while spending five seasons as the head coach at St. Norbert’s College, joined the Yale women’s ice hockey staff as associate head coach in the summer of 2015. Earlier in his career Morgan served in a similar position for six seasons at Dartmouth, helping the Big Green make five NCAA Tournament appearances.In his first season with the Bulldogs (2015-16), Morgan helped the team to a five-game winning streak, and three individuals earned All-Ivy League recognition.

Sun Rui Pro Deputy Sports Diretor

born 14 May 1982 in Harbin, Heilongjiang) is a Chinese female ice hockey player. She is a member of the China women's national ice hockey team. She competed for China at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The team finished 7th out of 8 teams

Team Red star (Pro) home arena:

 

The four-level Shenzhen Dayun Arena (which is also called Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre Arena) is one of the biggest arena in China, with height of 30.5m. The facility seats 18,000 people. It’s a perfect arena for ice hockey, basketball and gymnastics etc.

Shenzhen is a major city in Guangdong Province, China and one of the five largest and wealthiest cities of China.[4] The city is located immediately north of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
