Shanghai's tallest observatory offers airy city views

Shanghai Tower opens its sightseeing observatory on 118th floor to the public with admission fee of 180 yuan (US$26)on April 26, 2017.The 546-meter-high observatory named the "Top of Shanghai" covers over 1,000 square meters, where visitors can take a panoramic view of the city through large curtain glass walls. Visitors will be able to take three high-speed elevators to reach the observatory within a minute in the 632-meter, 137-floor skyscraper — the world’s second tallest, surpassed only by Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which soars to 828 meters. The observatory which opens between 8:30am and 9:30pm every day also features souvenir stores, a post office and exhibition areas. (Photo: China News Service/Shen Hai)
