Sanitation worker buys socks for homeless person

By Sun Wenyu (People's Daily Online)    16:37, April 20, 2017

On April 18, a sanitation worker in Changchun, Jilin province bought a pair of socks for a homeless person on the street. A woman who witnessed the good deed, surnamed Zhao, said the empathy of the sanitation worker moved her deeply.

It normally takes just a few seconds to put on socks. However, it took longer when the worker patiently helped to put them on the feet of the homeless person because the latter didn't know how to cooperate. Zhao praised the worker for not only cleaning the city, but also warming people's hearts. However, when passersby applauded his act, the worker responded that it was nothing because people are supposed to help each other.
