A girl from Suichuan County, eastern China's Jiangxi province recently drew public attention after a photo of her studying was posted on social media. In the photo, the girl, named Xiong Jing, is studying at a "desk" assembled from piled up bricks. The 11-year-old girl is currently in fourth grade, and her parents are both bricklayers. She studies every weekend at the construction site where her parents work. The unconventional "desk" was made for her by her father.
