Recently, the feats of a rice vending machine have been widely circulated online. The machine is located at Fujian Normal University in southeastern China's Fujian province. By scanning their student ID cards at the machine, students receive a designated quantity of rice. The machine can reportedly dispense 10 bowls of rice in just 30 seconds, and serve as many as 1,000 people in one day. If it proves popular and successful in the long run, the machine will be introduced to other universities around the city, according to the cafeteria's manager.
