A road cover has been put into use to reduce noise in Shenyang, northeastern China’s Liaoning province, on Feb. 5.
The cover extends nearly one thousand meters, is 26.5 meters wide, and is 5-8 meters high. It was built with a steel frame structure with sound absorption composite panels and has light and sound proofing panels and panels for ventilation. The noise-reduction road cover cost 60 million RMB ($8.7 million) to build.
