On Jan. 9, a fake dinosaur stuck out a fifth-floor window in Xinxiang, Henan province. With its jaw open and forelegs spread, the giant lizard made for a rather intimidating sight.
The fake dinosaur was being used to catch the attention of passers-by, drumming up business for the commercial tenant underneath. Many passers-by worried that the model could pose a safety hazard. Some wondered whether it violated any rules, as it was not securely fixed to the building.
