DALIAN, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Eleven people have been confirmed dead after fishing boat capsized off the northeastern coast of China Wednesday, local maritime authorities have announced.
Huge waves sank the boat with a 17-member crew aboard at about 2 a.m. when they were about to transfer to a bigger vessel 2 nautical miles from a fishing port in Dalian, according to a statement from the Dalian maritime bureau.
One fisherman was rescued alive. Most of the bodies were found in the inshore seabed in the ebb, rescuers said.
