The Academician Forum on National Low-Altitude Airspace Management Technology was held on November 27, 2012 in Haikou of south China's Hainan province. The forum is jointly sponsored by the Office of the State Air Administration Committee, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Navy and the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
The forum is designed to have an in-depth study of the rational development and utilization of the low-altitude airspace resources and promote the scientific development of the general aviation industry.
Centering on the issues including the development of general aviation, the challenges in the low-altitude airspace utilization and the current situation for the study and application of the low-attitude airspace management technology, the participants exchanged views on such topics as the establishment of the laws, regulations and standards concerning the low-attitude airspace management, the construction of supporting projects, the transformation of the management and service philosophy as well as the relations between the operational efficiency and security.
