5.1-magnitude quake hits northern Italy -- USGS

BEIJING, June 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted northern Italy at 10:33:59 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey, monitored here, said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.30 km, was initially determined to be at 44.2220 degrees north latitude and 10.1129 degrees east longitude.
