6.7-magnitude quake hits south of Java, Indonesia -- USGS

HONGKONG, June 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale jolted south of Java, Indonesia at 16:47:23 GMT on Thursday (00:47:23 Beijing Time on Friday), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 11.10 km, was initially determined to be at 10.0301 degrees south latitude and 107.1819 degrees east longitude.
