BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted China's northwest Qinghai Province at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 4 km, was monitored at about 37.6 degrees north latitude and 95.9 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
The U.S. Geological Survey tallied it as 5.5-magnitude.
