Shanghai starts military service registration in 2013

Shanghai June 3, (ChinaMil) -- Shanghai Municipality started to accept military service registration in an all-around way on June 1, 2013.

It was seen at a military service registration station in the Shanghai Jiaotong University on the morning of June 1 that the working staff began to accept military service registration and policy consultation by college students.

The registration station in the university offered windows on body visual inspection, preliminary political examination, statistics summary and etc. The working staff of the station handled procedures related to military service registration through information-based means.

It is learnt that a total of 300-odd military service registration stations have been set up at colleges and universities as well as villages and towns in Shanghai city to accept military service registration by college students and local residents of military age.
