HONG KONG, June 4 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Kuril Islands at 11:00:10 GMT on Tuesday (19:00:10 Hong Kong Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 32.20 km, was initially determined to be at 45.3554 degrees north latitude and 150.9276 degrees east longitude.
