BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Wang Qishan, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Tuesday met with Andrei Kobyakov, head of the Belarusian presidential administration.

Wang, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Belarus have enjoyed sound development momentum in bilateral relations since they established diplomatic ties.

These ties have seen frequent high-level contacts, a high degree of political trust and in-depth cooperation on the economy and trade, culture, and science and technology, Wang said.

To bring more benefits to the two peoples, China and Belarus should further strengthen cooperation, develop mutually beneficial economic relations and promote comprehensive progress in the two countries' economic and social development, he said.

The two sides also exchanged views on fighting corruption.

Kobyakov said Belarus is willing to further strengthen cooperation with China and push forward the development of bilateral relations.
