5.0-magnitude quake hits near the east coast of Honshu, Japan -- USGS

HONG KONG, May 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 2013-05-28 19:24:25 GMT on Tue (2013-05-29 03:24:25 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.80 km, was initially determined to be at 34.1491 degrees north latitude and 140.7115 degrees east longitude.
