The fire broke out at about 0:40 a.m. at a pig farm in a village in Jiangyong county and was put out 40 minutes later, the county's publicity department said in a statement.
Six male woodcutters living in a shed in the pig farm were found dead at the scene, it said. The dead were migrants from southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
