After the fourth or fifth month, skip exercises that require you to lie flat on your back. The position will do harm to your baby.

Stay hydrated throughout your workout. Instead of swilling water, which may increase cardiac work load, sipping is recommended. It's especially important to stay hydrated while you're pregnant.

It cannot be more careful when you take exercises that require balance. Your body is changing rapidly, and while running or doing step-aerobics you may feel clumsy and off-kilter.
