The traditional costume of the Lhoba ethnic group, an item on China's list of national intangible cultural heritage, has become one of the highlights of the ongoing 23rd peach blossom tourism and cultural festival in Nyingchi, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region.

In the southeastern part of Xizang, the peach orchards in Milin, a satellite site of Nyingchi's peach blossom tourism and cultural festival, are in full bloom, transforming the landscape into a sea of pink blossoms.

Against this vibrant backdrop, the local Lhoba people strolled amid fields of pink blossoms in traditional Lhoba attire, captivating visitors.

Crafted from daphne bark and adorned with beads, shells, and animal bones, these garments are a living testament to centuries of craftsmanship.

The convergence of time-honored clothing and springtime scenery not only highlights the distinctive ethnic charm of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau but also offers a glimpse of the richness and vitality of Chinese culture.

Thanks to such cultural treasures, the peach blossom tourism and cultural festival in Nyingchi has evolved into an important driver of local development.

The 23rd peach blossom tourism and culture festival has linked main and satellite sites to attract visitors from across the country, promoting integrated development across culture, tourism, agriculture, commerce, and trade.

Local residents are increasingly benefiting from the peach blossom economy, enjoying thriving livelihoods as the blossoms herald both cultural pride and economic vitality in the highlands.
