6. Are Chinese companies dumping electric vehicles on global markets?
The ratio of export to production for Chinese new energy vehicles is far lower than that of Germany, Japan and the ROK.
China's car output exceeded 30.16 million units in 2023, and sales exceeded 30.09 million units, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). China's auto exports hit 4.91 million, including around 1.2 million new energy vehicles.
In 2023, U.S. electric automaker Tesla produced about 1.85 million electric vehicles.
