Macao's cross-border vehicle traffic up 24.2 pct year on year in September
MACAO, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Macao's cross-border vehicle traffic in September 2022 increased 24.2 percent year on year to 403,900 trips, the special administrative region (SAR)'s statistical service said on Monday.
The latest report from the Statistics and Census Service showed that light automobile trips grew 26.3 percent to 369,307 in September.
Arriving and departing commercial flights totaled 786 trips in September, a decrease of 26.0 percent year on year, showed the report.
Licensed motor vehicles in Macao totaled 248,374 at the end of September this year, up by 1.0 percent year on year. New registration of motor vehicles in September grew 63.4 percent year on year to 1,188.
The report showed that the number of traffic accidents in September dropped by 18.1 percent year on year to 987, with 344 people injured.
