Two scientists win China's top science award (14)

Wang Dazhong, winner of China's top science award, was born in 1935, and is an internationally reputed nuclear scientist. A Chinese Academy of Sciences academician and former president of Tsinghua University, he has dedicated himself to the research and development of advanced nuclear energy technologies. One of his many internationally recognized achievements was the successful development of the first 10-mW modular high-temperature air-cooling nuclear reactor, which was put to commercial operation in 2003.
