Nine students were killed and ten wounded in a knife attack near a middle school in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Friday.
Local police said the suspect, a 28-year-old man, attacked the students from the No.3 Middle School in Mizhi County on their way home after school. He was detained by police following the attack.
According to a statement by Mizhi police, the man said he attacked the students because he was bullied by classmates when he was attending the school at a younger age.
The case is now under further investigation.
