KABUL, June 3 (Xinhua) -- At least 18 people have been confirmed dead and 12 others injured as three blasts hit a funeral ceremony in Kabul on Saturday, local TV channel Tolo reported.

Citing local officials, Tolo said the blasts occurred when hundreds of people attended the funeral ceremony of Salim Ayzedyar in Sara-e-Shamali neighborhood in the 11 Police District of Kabul city Saturday afternoon.

Salim was the son of Alam Ayzedyar, the deputy speaker of the Upper House of parliament. He was killed in clashes between demonstrators and police in Kabul on Friday.
