A dog recently became a local celebrity within Wenzhou Medical University for its "hard work” in the classroom.
On Oct. 25, the dog entered a classroom and sat down, staring attentively at the lecturer. A student in the class took a photo to record this moment, and then shared the photo on social media. Soon, other students in the university were talking about the dog.
Other students and lecturers professed to having met the dog before. It once wandered through a classroom during independent study time, according to some. Interestingly, in some classes, the dog sneaks away and plays in the corner after listening for a short while. Students joke that this phenomenon means the dog is not interested in the subject being taught.
An authority at a pet grooming and cosmetology school in Wenzhou explained that dogs have a strong ability to imitate behaviors they observe. Under special circumstance, dogs can even be influenced by and imitate human behavior.
A spokesperson for Wenzhou Medical University said the school plans to provide a residence and food for the "university's pet."
