One of China’s biggest imperial jade seals will be sold by auction on Oct. 5 in Hong Kong. With a height of 11 centimeters and a width and length of 12.8 centimeters, the massive “Seal of the Emperor Supreme” is the biggest imperial jade seal ever on the auction block. The Qianlong Emperor of Qing dynasty abdicated after 60 years on the throne, and thus became the last Emperor Supreme in China’s history. The jade seal is expected to be sold for a price of 80 to 120 million Hong Kong dollars. (People’s Daily Online)
