China-Kazakhstan cultural event held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The exhibition brings some of the beauty and wonder of the East to Kazakhstan: tri-color glazed art pieces from the Tang Dynasty, Jun and Ru wares, Zhuxian xylography, paper cutting, gourd pyrography, clay figurines, dough modeling, and sugar figurines, as well as folk performances.
A China-Kazakhstan cultural event, featuring a splendid China photo exhibition and the intangible cultural heritage, opened at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University’s Palace Theatre in the historical and cultural city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Friday, Aug 26.
As part of the ongoing 2016 “Experience China” cultural event in Kazakhstan, the exhibition brings beauty and wonder from the East to the central Asia country. The activities are intended to further strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries, and to deepen the traditional relationship.
Cui Yuying, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Deputy Director of the Information Office of the State Council, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
The event was made possible by the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan and its Consulate General in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the municipal governments of Astana and Almaty. The event was hosted by Chinese government information offices from Henan, Hubei, Chongqing, and Sichuan.
The exhibition will last till Sept. 2.
